Trailer came with Zamp PWM controller and 2 Obsidian panels. MPPT was expensive in the past so I had PWM.
I purchased the MPPT controller and the wired remote as an upgrade. Controller is much larger and is surface mount. The remote allows for a better placement.
This unit gets much more of my panel power to use or to charge faster. It also tells exactly what it is getting in out of the panels in watts, voltage and amps. Displays are clear and I don't require a manual in hand to get the information I need. 2 buttons. Zamp thought this unit out carefully with safety and functions. It basically sets itself up to your batteries.
I was also happy that they considered virtually every existing battery type as well as a custom program function for future battery possibilities.
I purchased directly from Zamp. I must say that the sales and the technical staff at Zamp were wonderful. I had some basic product questions as well as installations suggestions which were answered in detail within 2 hours. I complicated my installation a bit by relocating the controller from the wall and placed the remote on the wall where old controller was. Remote comes with a quite long ribbon cable for easy fishing to desired location.
Shipping: Zamp provided clear communication on shipping and tracking door to door from Bend Oregon to Ontario Canada. No issues at all.
I would recommend this combo to anyone.

The thing is awsome, charges like a bad dog. Way happy and would recommend it, was a little tricky to get it mounted in my camper as it sticks out kinda far, the 3d pattern on the right side doesn’t alow you to mount flush, could do away with that and would be better but over all nice unit

So much more efficient than the original PWM. Unit is much heavier than than the standard 30 amp. Easy install. Wires partially visible where the connect at the bottom. Used double sided tape and two wood screws. Lighted readout easy to see. Set up to 12 volt and battery type was easy. Unit has error code system that can be found in online manual.
